Found on the infamous “lower” Greenville Ave in Dallas is The Blind Butcher, a great dive bar with an insane gastronomic experience. Meat heads rejoice as their menu boasts meat treats sure to delight the most sophisticated pallets.

The Vibe:

Retro Urban decay with a pinch of industrial modern. Think of an old school building, exposed brick walls, natural lighting and a lot of character. The bar vibe is friendly but super low key.

What To Get:

If you have read my other posts you know that Im a bourbonite so of coarse I opted for the Old Fashioned and they serve it up quite well at Blind Butcher. Food wise I went for Beef Tartar, Duck Fat Fries, Mushroom Poutine, Housemade Chicken Piccata Sausage and Pork Schnitzel. All where good but the highlight was the Beef Tartar and Poutine.
The Staff:

Staff was friendly, super knowledgeable about the food and beer list and very attentive. The food was out in like 15 mins, I didn’t even get to finish my first drink and the food was already arriving at the table. First class service.

Final Thoughts:

The Blind Butcher is a great place to stop in for a few craft cocktails or craft beer and an even better place to get some great tapas style bar food. If you are looking for an elevated drinking and gastro experience, Blind Butcher is sure to surpass your expectations. One of the best gastropubs in Dallas in my opinion. I will be back.Have a favorite bar or watering hole that needs to be featured on Ben’s Best Bars? Email me here and I’ll check it out when I pass through. Until Next time….Cheers!
