Situated in the middle of downtown just blocks from Pikes Market is The Bookstore Bar, a down-to-earth drinking establishment with a homey feel.

The Vibe:

The Bookstore feels as if you are sitting in someones classic massive home library. There is a wonderful sense of relaxation before you even have your first beverage.

What To Get:

Bookstore Bar offers a great happy hour menu daily with specials from 4pm-6pm and 10pm-12am on the menu is one of my all time favorites the Old Fashioned. Bookstore’s OF is really done well as was all the drinks we sampled, there is also whiskey, rum and tequila flights as well as craft beers. Food wise at the Bookstore Bar you can’t go wrong as their menu is backed by a James Beard Award Winning Chef.

The Staff:

The staff at The Bookstore Bar is really friendly and attentive. We found everyone we encountered was very knowledge about the craft cocktails, beer and food. Most even offered food/beverage pairings.

Final Thoughts:

The Bookstore Bar is one of the most at-home feel bars I’ve ever been to. It was a feeling of nostalgia as soon as I stepped through the door until I had sipped the last drop of bourbon. This bar is one of the best I’ve visited in the United States, hands down.
