Our Favorite Lucky Casinos in Vegas
1. Golden Nugget
Located in the center of The Fremont Experience is The Golden Nugget or Nugget for short. This classic casino has been one of our favorites since we began our treks across the desert 8 years ago. What makes the Nugget special is Free Craps Lessons, fun crowds and Single Deck Black Jack.
Beer Pong, great table games and a young audience make nights at Oshea’s memorable. We’ve been coming to this Irish institution since we were old enough to gamble. Oshea’s has seen many changes over the years and recently moved from the Strip to inside the Linq. Hungry? Grab a bite at Hash House A-Go-Go, the huge yet tasty portions here are sure to soak up the suds.
3. Binion’s Gamblin Hall
One of the last great remaining legends of Vegas’ hay days is Binion’s Gamblin Hall. Located in Downtown Vegas, Binion’s offers down to earth service, hot table action and nice slot payouts (we always have good luck here). We always pay homage to Binion’s when in LV and have had many a great times playing Roulette. Be sure to check out Binion’s during October as they turn part of their casino into a haunted attraction.
4. Flamingo & Margaritaville Casino
Standing strong on the Las Vegas Strip is the iconic Flamingo Casino. With a pink glow reminiscent of Maimi Vice and classic Vegas Dancers – the Flamingo is the perfect ode to Las Vegas past and present. What makes this place great is the large selection of slots (our favorites here are the Hotshot Penny Slots), classic atmosphere and access to the LV Monorail which allows easy transport up and down the Strip. If you are looking for a place to stay on the LV Strip, you will not find a better luxury-to-price value than the Flamingo.
5. The Cosmopolitan
Towering over the Bellagio and conveniently located in the center of the Strip is The Cosmopolitan. Lavish decor, large casino area and great eateries make this modern LV Resort a must when in Sin City. The hotel at The Cosomo is one of our favorite places to stay and be sure you check out the Verbena Drink at the Chandelier Bar – it will blow you away!
Paris Casino is hard to miss when cruising down the Las Vegas Strip – due to the Effiel Tower. This beautifully decorated casino boasts a huge gaming area, infamous Steakhouse and an all around good time. The table action at Paris is one of our favorites on the Strip and the minimum buy ins tend to be lower than others Strip casinos. Be sure to make a reservation at the oh-so-tasty Mon Ami Gabi in advance, skip the lines and dine alfresco.
7. Mermaid’s Casino
Positioned along the Fremont Street Experience is a deep fried casino known as Mermaid’s. Look for the girls out front handing out beads and follow your taste buds inside for fried delights such as Deep Fried Twinkies and Oreos. This old school casino is slots only action – making it a great place for anyone, on any budget.
